StataCorp Stata is StataCorp’s statistics package for Windows. The current Windows line includes Stata 19 and StataNow 19 (same app family; StataNow is the continuously updated licence). The official installer is not a public “full.exe” — instead, you get SetupStata19.exe or SetupStataNow19.exe from the Stata download site with the username, password, and serial from your StataCorp email. Editions include BE / SE / MP (or StataNow/BE, /SE, /MP).

Note that “Stata 19 MP unlocked” is not StataCorp, and this is not SPSS, so use it only on data you have the right toanalyse. Student and campus seats follow the school’s contract; therefore, don’t share a lab serial on a home crack forum. The licence is not OS-locked; the Windows build is. Finally, for updates, type update all inside Stata (revision check around 12 Aug 2026 on their updates page).

There is no extra unlocked Stata.

• Activate with the License and Activation Key (.stcodes if they sent one)

A “19 MP pre-activated” folder plus a patched .lic is stolen licensing. Grey-market campus keys are often recycled.

Perpetual without maintenance does not get StataNow features — ask StataCorp, don’t grab a warez “Now” build.

Your download should start on Stata’s download site

If the EXE is 40 MB named Stata19_Crack, leave. Official setups are the SetupStata*19.exe files they name.

What to do next

1. Keep the License and Activation Key handy.
2. Download the installer that matches MP / SE / BE.
3. Run as admin.
4. Import .stcodes if provided.
5. Open your dataset — not a dumped textbook .dta pack you don’t own.

Typical folder: C:\Program Files\Stata19 (or StataNow19).

Silent IT: SetupStataNow19.exe /s /v"/qn ADDLOCAL=core,StataMP64" (see their FAQ).

Windows may warn you. Check the publisher.

• Publisher should read StataCorp.
• SmartScreen can appear on a new 19 setup. Use More info only if that name matches.
• Do not turn off Defender to “apply licence.”
• 64-bit Intel/AMD only on the Windows list.

Eval / student / campus / commercial from stata.com. Serial in email. Maintenance vs perpetual vs StataNow is a contract issue. Don’t paste a “universal MP 2026” code.

A $25 “Stata 19 lifetime” keygen is not StataCorp.

Official: Windows 11 / 10 64-bit, Server 2025–2012 R2, x86-64 Core i3-class or better. Disk ~4 GB. RAM: BE 1 GB / SE 2 GB / MP 4 GB (more for big data). Not 32-bit Windows. Internet for download + update. Admin to install.

Already installed? update all or official update ZIP. You do not hunt a second “full.”

Install StataCorp Stata: first session and the serial

First run

1. Open Stata 19.
2. Confirm edition (BE/SE/MP).
3. update all if online.
4. Load data you own.
5. Don’t share the serial in a class WhatsApp.

Uninstall: Settings → Apps / their installer /x.

If it did not work

• “Licence not applicable to this version” — wrong 19 vs Now / wrong edition.
• Missing MP — you installed BE.
• 50 MB Stata_Unlocked — leave.
