Action needed on Wi-Fi: What does it mean & How to repair

The computer is running normally, but no WLANs connections are available in Windows (in the red circle on the WLANs icon) or I show no WLANs (no WLANs available in the Wi-Fi menu )? If so, chances are you can use these instructions to restart WiFi that isn’t working. Before investigating the causes on your computer, it is necessary to rule out other reasons: Is the router running? What Wi-Fi feature is enabled on Fritz! Box and moss? Is the computer within the access point? Does the wireless adapter on the computer support the WiFi standard used, it’s coding, and frequency? If WLAN has worked on troubleshooting computers in the past, you can assume that all the requirements are met when answering the last question. However, if you need to set up Wi-Fi on a computer for the first time, you need to do thorough research on the questions.

A good sign of local trouble on the computer is when other devices can compete with WLAN without any restrictions. The router then has access to the Internet, the router works, and there is communication between the access point and the client’s work.

 

Solution 1: Windows restart

Windows Update especially likes to play with network settings. As a result, the WLAN will not work (and the LAN may not work). After Windows Update shuts down or restarts at startup and completes, undo changes related to the update. The WLAN should then work again. Wi-Fi not working? It would have been much easier! And there are still many significant signs.

 

Solution 2: Windows Troubleshooter

The first step was simple, it complicates the second: Windows Debugging can fix some simple WLAN bugs quickly and without hassle. Right-click the network icon in the notification area and select the first troubleshooting item from the menu that appears.

For example, if the WLAN adapter is disabled, the troubleshooter can detect it (but not required). Error Detector can detect and eliminate other errors in the WLAN configuration.

For example, if the troubleshooter doesn’t say a word about Wi-Fi, then the wireless adapter may be ‘off’ for some other reason. The adapter may have been removed and no new driver installed, or the computer may be in flight mode.
