FIX: Can’t Boot Windows 10 After Installing Ubuntu

How can I fix the error message saying ‘Can’t Boot Windows‘ on Windows 10?

Use diskpart:

  • Press Shift+F10 to start command prompt
  • Then type the following command:

diskpart

List disk

Type Select disk [disk number]
Type Clean Convert MBR

  • Let the command run and restart the PC

Boot into UEFI mode:

  • Reboot your PC and press common boot keys such as F12, Esc, Delete, F2, etc
  • Then from the boot menu choose Troubleshoot
  • From there select Advanced Options and then UEFI Firmware Settings
  • Next, select the UEFI mode and press Enter
  • Now you’ll boot in UEFI mode
