FIX: Microsoft Store doesn’t update in Windows 10

Microsoft Windows has a lot of issues with its updates and numerous reported errors. However, this time we’re going to fix the update error in Microsoft Store. We’ve mentioned some practical solutions to fix this issue on Windows 10.

1.Run the Windows Store Troubleshooter:

Windows troubleshooter is a tool designed to eliminate any bugs related to Windows.
To run the Windows troubleshooter, follow the below-mentioned steps:
• Fist click Select Start
• Then click Settings
• Now select Update & Security

• Then click on Troubleshoot
• Now click on the Windows Store app and proceed with the process to complete it

2.Perform an SFC scan:

  • Press Windows key + X key
  • The command prompt window will open click on the run an administrator.
  • Now type in the following command.

sfc/scannow

  • Then press Enter
  • Let the command run, and after it, restart your computer

3.Reset Windows Microsoft Store:

  • Search wsreset
  • Click on WSReset.exe
  • Let the process finish and then restart your computer

4.Repair the Microsoft Store:

  • Open the command prompt and run as admin
  • Now type in the following command in the command prompt

PowerShell -ExecutionPolicy Unrestricted –Command “& {$manifest = (Get-AppxPackage Microsoft.WindowsStore).InstallLocation + ‘AppxManifest.xml’ ; Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register $manifest}”

  • Let the command run and then restart your PC
