• Fist click Select Start
• Then click Settings
• Now select Update & Security

• Then click on Troubleshoot
• Then select Windows Update under Get up and running, and then select Run the troubleshooter.

Run an SFC and DSIM scan :

• Then press Enter
• Then restart your computer
• After SFC is scanned, type in the DSIM command mentioned below.
DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Restorehealth

• Press Windows key + X key
• The command prompt window will open click on the run an administrator.
• Now type in the following command.
sfc/scannow

• Then press Enter
• Then restart your computer
• After SFC is scanned, type in the DSIM command mentioned below.
DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Restorehealth

• Then let the command run and restart the PC

Check if the BITS service:

The BITS(background intelligent transfer service) is important for the Windows update. To do that, follow the steps given below:

• Press the Windows key + R key
• The RUN dialogue box will appear
• Type service.msc in the box and press Enter
• Now locate Background Intelligent Transfer Service and double click on it
• Now select the recovery tab and set the first failure & the second failure to restart service
• Confirm and check for updates
