How to fix a corrupt bootres.dll file in Windows 10

  • Open a Command Prompt as an administrator.
  • Then type this command: Dism / Online / Cleanup-Image / RestoreHealth
  • Do not close the window if the process takes some time because it may take a few minutes to complete.
