STAAD Pro CONNECT Edition (styled STAAD.Pro CONNECT Edition) is Bentley’s structural analysis app and the successor branding to V8i. Official files come from Bentley CONNECTION Center / Software Downloads after you sign in, and the docs still describe CONNECT Edition (V22-class readmes). Note that “STAAD.Pro CE unlocked” is not Bentley. Without a licence, it stays in Limited mode (~15 minutes) and then quits. This is not Robot / SAP2000, so use it only on models your firm owns. Seats are CONNECTION Client / Bentley licence — not a keygen. Finally, V8i can sit beside CE; CE does not replace the old folder.

Readme install OS: Windows 11 Enterprise 64-bit and Windows 10 Home/Pro/Enterprise/Education 64-bit (Bentley does not support Microsoft-retired OS). Older readme hardware: 3 GHz, 1–2 GB RAM (4–8 GB for Advanced / big models), ~500 MB app, OpenGL GPU, 1280×1024 (4K not supported on that sheet). Practical office box: 16 GB+, SSD, current Win10/11. IPv4/IPv6. Admin to install.

Already installed? Software Downloads latest CE for your contract. You do not hunt a second “full.”

First run

1. Open STAAD.Pro CONNECT Edition.
2. Accept a real licence.
3. New space frame you own.
4. Save .std outside Program Files.
5. Don’t point at a cracked licence server.

Uninstall: Settings → Apps / Bentley installer.

If it did not work

• 15-minute quit — no seat.
• File association stole V8i — expected; both can coexist.
• 90 MB STAAD_Unlocked — leave.

• Side-by-side with V8i
• Bentley CONNECTION licensing

It will not replace a PE stamp.
