There is no extra unlocked setup.

A “26.0 pre-activated” folder plus an amtlib patch is stolen licensing. Adobe apps check the account. Grey-market keys are often recycled seats.

What to do next

1. Install Creative Cloud Desktop if it is missing.
2. Sign in with your Adobe ID.
3. Find Character Animator → Install.
4. Let CC pull 26.0.

Trial and subscription

Adobe: Starter does not need a subscription. Pro needs Creative Cloud (often All Apps / Creative Cloud Pro). Adobe documents a 7-day trial before you pay for Pro. Cancel in account.adobe.com if you only wanted the trial.

Education seats follow Adobe Education rules. A $20 “Ch 2026 lifetime” key is not Adobe.

Will it run on this PC?

Character Animator 26.0 official Windows floor: Windows 24H2 or later, Intel 6th-gen or Ryzen 1000 with AVX2, 8 GB RAM (16 GB+ recommended), 4 GB disk (not on a USB stick), 1280×1080, DirectX 12 GPU with a current vendor driver. Recording needs a webcam, microphone, and headphones so takes do not loop back into the next take. Internet, Adobe ID and the licence agreement are required to activate.

Windows 10 is not on the 26.0 requirements page. Stay on 25.x only if Adobe still lists it on the account and the PC cannot move to 24H2.

Already installed? Use Creative Cloud → Updates. You do not download a second “2026 full.”

Adobe Character Animator: install, first puppet, and sign-in

First run

1. Open Character Animator.
2. Sign in. Choose Starter or Pro.
3. Pick a sample puppet.
4. Allow camera and mic. Put headphones on.
5. Record a 10-second take — not a livestream on day one.

Uninstall: Creative Cloud → Uninstall. Close Character Animator first.

If it did not work

• App missing in CC — this ID never had Character Animator.
• Face track dead — no camera permission, or OS below 24H2.
• Pro locked — you are in Starter; subscribe or start the 7-day trial.
• Installer is 40 MB named Ch_Unlocked — leave.
• Echo on lip-sync — you recorded without headphones.
