The Creative Cloud Cleaner Tool is Adobe’s last-resort uninstall utility. It is not Photoshop, not a CC membership, and not a crack. Use it only after a normal uninstall failed. “CC Cleaner 2026 full” from a file host is often malware with the same name.

• Type E (English) or J (Japanese)
• Type Y to accept the EULA
• Pick the numbered option for the leftovers you mean to remove
• Restart, then reinstall from Creative Cloud Desktop

A “Cleaner + pre-activated CC” bundle is stolen licensing plus a fake utility. Grey-market “cleaner pro” keys do not exist — Adobe does not sell this EXE.

If the file is 200 MB or named Setup.exe, you left Adobe’s site.

What to do next

1. Close Photoshop, Premiere, the Creative Cloud desktop app, and Adobe background processes (armsvc, CoreSync, AGS, and the others Adobe lists).
2. Back up documents, plug-ins, and CoreSync folders if you still need them.
3. Download from Run Creative Cloud Cleaner Tool.
4. Right-click AdobeCreativeCloudCleanerTool.exe → Run as administrator.
5. Follow the console: language → EULA → option number → confirm Y.
6. When it says completed successfully, restart Windows.
7. Install current apps from Creative Cloud.

Typical folder: C:\Users\You\Downloads.
This is not an installed program under Start.

Uninstall the app in Settings → Apps first when that still works. Cleaner is for leftovers.

Adobe only keeps current-year + previous-year CC installers. Do not Cleaner-wipe an old year unless you can reinstall it.

Windows may warn you. Check the publisher.

• Publisher should read Adobe.
• SmartScreen can appear on a new support EXE. Use More info only if the signature is Adobe.
• Do not turn off Defender to “let the cleaner work.”
• Do not run a cleaner that asks you to disable UAC and paste a key.

Enterprise: Adobe documents silent mode and --removeAll= style switches on the enterprise Cleaner page. Do not invent flags from a blog.

Option 12 in Adobe’s script can repair the hosts file (it writes hosts_bkup). Use that only if Adobe servers will not resolve.

Trial and licence

The Cleaner Tool is a free Adobe support utility. It does not include Photoshop, Premiere or a Collection seat. After you clean, you still sign in with a real Adobe ID.

Will it run on this PC?

Any current 64-bit Windows that can run Creative Cloud. No GPU story. You need Administrator rights and enough disk to reinstall afterward.

Already have Creative Cloud working? Do not run Cleaner “just in case.”

Run the Creative Cloud Cleaner Tool once, then reinstall

Console flow (Windows)

1. Run as Administrator.
2. E then Enter.
3. Y then Enter.
4. Type the number for CS leftovers, CC apps, CoreSync / Content Synchronizer, or hosts repair — only what you need.
5. Confirm Y.
6. Restart.

If it did not work

• Access denied — not elevated.
• Apps still listed — you cleaned records but left files; uninstall from Settings first next time.
• 40 MB CC_Cleaner_Unlock — leave.
• You wanted Photoshop — install Photoshop, not Cleaner.
