Adobe DNG Converter
Adobe DNG Converter is a free standalone utility. Current Windows build in the 18.x line is 18.6 (AdobeDNGConverter_x64_18_6.exe). It turns camera raws into DNG so older Photoshop / Lightroom / Bridge / Elements can open a new body. It is not Camera Raw and not Photoshop. “DNG Converter 2026 full” is not a cracked photo editor.

Pick the folder of raws, pick the output folder, convert. No Creative Cloud plan is required. Do not download the Camera Raw plug-in EXE by mistake — that file does nothing without Photoshop or Bridge.

Do not run DNG_Converter_2026_Unlocked.exe. That is not Adobe.

There is no extra unlocked setup.
- Download AdobeDNGConverter_x64_18_6.exe (or the ARM64 installer Adobe lists)
- Run it
- Convert a test folder
A zip that also contains AdobeCameraRaw_x64_18_6.exe plus a crack is a stolen CC bundle. Camera Raw is a plug-in. DNG Converter is the app.
You do not need an Adobe ID to batch-convert. Sign-in walls on a “DNG 18.6 Pro” site are the tell.

If the filename is AdobeCameraRaw_x64_18_6.exe, you grabbed the plug-in.
What to do next
- Open Adobe DNG Converter.
- Download Windows x64 or Windows ARM64 to match the PC.
- Run the EXE. Follow the prompts (it also drops camera color profiles).
- Launch Adobe DNG Converter from the Start menu.
- Select source folder → destination folder → Convert.
Typical folder: C:\Users\You\Downloads.
App path: C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe DNG Converter.
You can also drag a folder onto the DNG Converter icon.
Camera list: use Adobe’s Cameras supported by Camera Raw page. Converter version tracks that list.
Windows may warn you. Check the publisher.
- Publisher should read Adobe.
- SmartScreen can appear on a new 1.7 GB converter. Use More info only if the signature is Adobe.
- The installer is large because of profiles, not because someone bundled Photoshop.
- Do not turn off Defender to “enable CR3.”
32-bit Windows is not the current x64 installer.

Trial and licence
DNG Converter is freeware from Adobe. No subscription. Keep the original raws; DNG is an extra copy unless you choose otherwise.

Already installed? Download 18.6 over the old converter. You do not need a second “2026 full.”
Convert the first folder with Adobe DNG Converter
First run
- Open Adobe DNG Converter.
- Choose the raw folder.
- Choose an empty output folder.
- Leave compatibility at a year your old editor understands if that is why you installed it.
- Convert. Open one DNG in the old app.
Uninstall: Settings → Apps. The original raws stay where you left them.
If it did not work
- Camera missing — converter older than that body; get 18.6.
- You installed Camera Raw instead — no Start-menu converter.
- 80 MB
DNG_Unlocker— leave. - Want develop sliders — that is Camera Raw or Lightroom, not this EXE.
