Adobe Substance 3D Painter is Adobe’s texture painter. Current desktop is Painter 12.1 (12.1.3, 25 August 2026). “Painter 2026 full” means a Substance 3D Collection (or All Apps) seat — not a cracked .spp pack. It is not Photoshop and not Designer.

If you searched for “Painter 2026 full,” “Steam crack,” or “activated”

There is no extra unlocked setup.

• Install Creative Cloud Desktop
• Sign in with the Adobe ID that owns Substance 3D Collection (or another plan that includes Painter)
• Click Install
• Stay online the first launch so Adobe can activate

A “Painter 12 pre-activated” folder plus an amtlib patch is stolen licensing. Adobe apps check the account. Grey-market keys are often recycled seats.

Steam has listed a Painter SKU; that is still a paid storefront, not a free “2026 full.” Prefer Creative Cloud if that is the seat you bought.

Your download of Adobe Substance 3D Painter should start in Creative Cloud

If nothing installs, this ID has Photoshop only, or you opened Sampler by mistake.

What to do next

1. Install Creative Cloud Desktop if it is missing.
2. Sign in with your Adobe ID.
3. Find Substance 3D Painter → Install.
4. Let CC pull 12.1.3.
5. Open Painter and sign in again if asked.

App path: C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Substance 3D Painter.

Admins can use a named-user package. Do not take a 3 GB “full ISO” from a forum.

Updates: Creative Cloud → Apps → Installed → Update available. In-app: Help → Release notes.

Windows may warn you. Check the publisher.

• Publisher should read Adobe.
• SmartScreen can appear on a new CC setup. Use More info only if the signature is Adobe.
• Do not turn off Defender to “activate.”
• Do not replace licensing DLLs.

Help → Release notes should mention 12.1. Use CC for 12.1.1–12.1.3 patches.

Not supported: Windows virtual machines, Windows Server. Remote Desktop has a separate Adobe note. Some Ryzen bake crashes are a BIOS issue, not a missing crack.

The Collection also unlocks the Substance asset library. A Painter-only crack will not give you that.

Trial and subscription

Painter is sold in the Substance 3D Collection (individual, teams, education). Adobe documents a 30-day trial. Cancel in account.adobe.com if you only wanted the trial.

Education seats follow Adobe Education rules. A $25 “Painter 2026 lifetime” key is not Adobe.

Will it run on this PC?

Painter 12.x official Windows floor: Windows 11 64-bit 23H2, Core i5 / Ryzen 5 class, 16 GB RAM, 8 GB VRAM, SSD with 30 GB free. Recommended steps up to 32 GB RAM / 16 GB VRAM; optimal is 64 GB / 24 GB on a 4090-class card. Update GPU drivers past Adobe’s listed floors (NVIDIA 442.50-class is the old documented minimum — use current Studio/Game Ready).

Already installed? Use Creative Cloud → Updates. You do not download a second “2026 full.”

Adobe Substance 3D Painter: install, first project, and sign-in

First run

1. Open Substance 3D Painter.
2. Sign in with the same Adobe ID.
3. Open a sample or a small mesh — not the 8K hero on day one.
4. Bake maps on a test high/low pair.
5. Check Help → Release notes for 12.1.3.

Uninstall: Creative Cloud → Uninstall. Close Painter first.

If it did not work

• App missing in CC — this ID never had the Collection.
• Black viewport — GPU/driver below the list, or VM.
• Bake crash on Ryzen — BIOS / driver, not a keygen.
• Installer is 80 MB named Painter_Unlocked — leave.
• Windows 10 — current Painter page starts at Windows 11 23H2.
