Adobe XD is Creative Cloud UI/UX. Adobe has it in maintenance mode: bug and security fixes only, no new feature train. Latest notes are version 61 (May 2026). “XD full” means a Creative Cloud seat that still lists XD — not a cracked installer. It is not Figma and not Illustrator.

If you searched for “XD 2026 full,” “permanent,” or “activated”

There is no extra unlocked setup, and there is no new 2026 feature product.

• Click Install
• Stay online the first launch so Adobe can activate

A “XD 57 pre-activated” folder plus an amtlib patch is stolen licensing. Adobe apps check the account. If CC does not show XD, a crack will not give you a legal cloud document workflow.

If nothing installs, this ID never had XD, or Adobe hid it under older apps.

What to do next

1. Install Creative Cloud Desktop if it is missing.
2. Sign in.
3. Find Adobe XD. Enable Show Older Apps if the list hides it.
4. Install.
5. Open XD and sign in again if asked.

Typical folder: Creative Cloud cache under your profile.
App path: C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe XD.

Do not take a 500 MB “full ISO” from a forum. Cloud documents need a live Adobe ID.

Windows may warn you. Check the publisher.

• Publisher should read Adobe.
• SmartScreen can appear on a new CC setup. Use More info only if the signature is Adobe.
• Do not turn off Defender to “activate.”
• Do not replace licensing DLLs.

Help → About should show 61 (or the latest maintenance build CC offers). Use Creative Cloud for security patches. That is the point of maintenance mode.

Export .xd work you still need (PNG, PDF, video prototype, or a tool that imports XD). Do not start a two-year product on XD.

Trial and subscription

XD is not sold as a fresh single-app plan to new buyers. If your All Apps or remaining entitlement still shows XD, install from CC. A $15 “XD lifetime 2026” key is not Adobe.

Adobe’s current wording: maintenance mode continues for existing customers; they will give notice before they end support. Treat that as a warning, not a promise of new features.

Will it run on this PC?

Adobe’s XD requirements page: Windows 10 64-bit 21H2 / 22H2 or Windows 11 64-bit 21H2+, 13-inch+ display at 1280×800, internet for activation and cloud docs. Do not keep working files only on synced Drive/Dropbox folders — Adobe advises against that.

Already installed? Use Creative Cloud → Updates for 61.x. You do not download a second “2026 full.”

Adobe XD: install, first artboard, and sign-in

First run

1. Open Adobe XD.
2. Sign in with the same Adobe ID.
3. Open a small file — not the 200-artboard design system on day one.
4. Check Help → About.
5. Export a backup off cloud documents.

Uninstall: Creative Cloud → Uninstall. Close XD first.

If it did not work

• App missing in CC — this ID is not entitled.
• Activation error — fake key or sunsetted single-app plan.
• Installer is 40 MB named XD_Unlocked — leave.
• Cloud doc will not open — network or Adobe document service, not a missing “Pro pack.”

Why people still install XD

• Existing .xd libraries
• Prototypes stakeholders already have
• A CC seat that still includes it

• Versions 58–61 are bug-fix drops
• No new-feature roadmap
• Support end will come with notice — export anyway

If you are choosing a tool today, look at Figma or another live UI product. XD is for finishing or archiving work you already have.

Questions before you trust the installer

Is this the official file?
Yes if it came from Creative Cloud / adobe.com and the publisher is Adobe.

Is XD free?
Starter/free XD was limited years ago. Current desktop use is an entitled CC seat. It is not a cracked “Pro.”

Is XD dead?
Adobe says maintenance mode, not “removed today.” Plan an exit.

XD vs Figma?
Figma is the live collaboration tool. XD is the Adobe app you already licensed.

Safe?
Official CC installer. The usual risk is fake “XD 2026 full” sites.

After you have the file

Install from Creative Cloud if the account lists XD. Sign in. Update to 61. Export anything you cannot lose.
