What to do next

Trial and licence
First install often includes a Premium trial (~14 days). Then pay on malwarebytes.com or stay on free scan/clean. Cancel in the Malwarebytes account. Multi-device plans are theirs to sell.
A $9 “Premium lifetime 2026” key is not Malwarebytes.
Will it run on this PC?
Current help (Aug 2026): Windows 10 or 11, 4 GB RAM (8 GB preferred), 1 GB disk, internet, S-mode off. ARM Windows 11 supported on the current app. ChromeOS not supported. v4 sheets still mention Win7 — treat Win10/11 as the real floor.

Install, first scan, and activate
First run
- Open Malwarebytes.
- Activate Premium if you paid.
- Update.
- Threat Scan.
- Quarantine only what you understand.
Uninstall: Settings → Apps (use their remover if the service sticks).
If it did not work
- Real-time off after 14 days — not Premium.
- Two AVs fighting — pick one.
- 15 MB
MB_Unlocked— leave.
