Content Highlights
The starter is the most basic and lightest edition of Windows Vista. This is not a fully functional edition but developed for old computers with low-end hardware. The Starter edition is developed for developing and poor countries where people do not have sufficient budget to buy a reasonable computer. This edition lets them taste the flavor of Microsoft Windows Vista on their old computers.
Tip: Get Windows 7 Starter ISO which is more stable than Vista Starter edition.
The starter edition is only available in the x86 (32-bit) version. It only supports 1 GB RAM, and you can only run a maximum of 3 applications/programs simultaneously.
Besides above mentioned system limitations, Starter does not have the Aero theme, language support, backup and restore, or some other features that are useful but not crucial for basic computing needs.
