Substance 3D Stager is Adobe’s 3D layout and render app. Security build 3.1.6 (13 January 2026, APSB26-09) is the floor — Creative Cloud may already show a later 3.x. It is not Dimension (the old CC mockup) and not Painter. “Stager 2026 full” means a Substance 3D Collection seat.

Work PCs: your admin assigns the Collection seat. All Apps alone often does not include Stager.

If you searched for “Stager 2026 full,” “Dimension unlocked,” or “activated”

There is no extra unlocked setup.

• Sign in with the Adobe ID that owns Substance 3D Collection
• Click Install
• Stay online the first launch so Adobe can activate

A “3.1 pre-activated” folder plus an amtlib patch is stolen licensing. Adobe apps check the account. Grey-market keys are often recycled seats.

You must sign in periodically (Adobe documents about every 30 days monthly / 99 days annual). Adobe documents install on up to two computers; deactivate one before a third.

Your download should start in Creative Cloud

If nothing installs, this ID is All Apps only, or you opened Dimension.

What to do next

1. Install Creative Cloud Desktop if it is missing.
2. Sign in with your Adobe ID.
3. Find Substance 3D Stager → Install.
4. Let CC pull 3.1.6 or newer.
5. Open a starter scene — not an 8K product hero on day one.

Admins can use a named-user package. Do not take a 3 GB “full ISO” from a forum.

3.1.5 and earlier are the versions named in APSB26-09. Stay on 3.1.6+.

Windows may warn you. Check the publisher.

• Publisher should read Adobe.
• SmartScreen can appear on a new CC setup. Use More info only if the signature is Adobe.
• Do not turn off Defender to “activate.”
• Do not replace licensing DLLs.

About should show 3.1.6 or later 3.x.

Not supported: Windows virtual machines, Windows Server, Remote Desktop. Use a local GPU box.

Trial and subscription

Stager is sold in the Substance 3D Collection (individual, teams, education). Adobe documents a trial. Cancel in account.adobe.com if you only wanted the trial.

Education seats follow Adobe Education rules. A $25 “Stager 2026 lifetime” key is not Adobe.

Will Substance 3D Stager run on this PC?

Stager official Windows floor matches the Substance desktop set: Windows 11 64-bit 23H2, Core i5 / Ryzen 5 class, 16 GB RAM, 8 GB VRAM, SSD with 30 GB free. Recommended: 32 GB / 16 GB VRAM; optimal: 64 GB / 24 GB on a 4090-class card. Dedicated GPU. Current vendor drivers.

Already installed? Creative Cloud → Updates to 3.1.6+. You do not download a second “2026 full.”

Install Substance 3D Stager, first scene, and sign-in

First run

1. Open Substance 3D Stager.
2. Sign in with the same Adobe ID.
3. Drop a starter model and a light.
4. Render a small still — not production 8K on day one.
5. Confirm version 3.1.6 or newer.

Uninstall: Creative Cloud → Uninstall. Close Stager first.

If it did not work

• App missing in CC — Collection not on this ID.
• Black viewport — VM / RDP / old GPU.
• .dn looks different — expected when moving Dimension → Stager.
• Installer is 80 MB named Stager_Unlocked — leave.
• Windows 10 — current page starts at Windows 11 23H2.

Is this the official file?
Yes if it came from Creative Cloud / adobe.com and the publisher is Adobe.

Is Stager free?
No. The trial is time-limited. Education has its own rules.

Stager vs Dimension?
Stager is the live app. Dimension is maintenance-only CC mockup.

Do I need 3.1.6?
Yes at minimum. 3.1.5 and earlier are the APSB26-09 set.

Safe?
Official CC installer. The usual risk is fake “Stager 2026 full” sites.

Install from Creative Cloud. Sign in. Update to 3.1.6+. Move new mockups off Dimension.
