Adobe Captivate is the eLearning authoring app. Current product is Captivate 13.2 (27 August 2026) — the rebuilt “all-new” Captivate. Captivate Classic 11.8.3 is a separate installer for old CPTX workflows. 11.5.5 is the last serial-key perpetual line Adobe still lists. “Captivate 2026 full” is not a cracked ISO. It is not Premiere and not Presenter.

Install 13.2 · Need Classic? · Already licensed?

If you searched for “Captivate 2026 full,” “11.5 serial,” or “portable”

There is no extra unlocked setup.

• Download Captivate 13.2 from Adobe
• Sign in with the Adobe ID that owns Captivate
• Stay online so Adobe can activate

A “13.2 pre-activated” folder plus an amtlib patch is stolen licensing. Grey-market keys are often recycled seats.

Classic CPTX files: install Captivate Classic 11.8.3, or use 13.1+ import where Adobe documents it. Do not expect every Classic feature in 13.2.

You own a 11.5 serial: Adobe still lists Captivate 11.5.5 (serial key version). That is not 13.2.

If nothing saves, you opened Creative Cloud All Apps and Captivate was never on the plan.

What to do next

1. Open Captivate downloads.
2. Download Adobe Captivate 13.2 for Windows.
3. Sign in with your Adobe ID.
4. Run the installer. Stay online.
5. Create a short responsive project — not the 400-slide Classic file on day one.

Typical folder: C:\Users\You\Downloads.
App path: under C:\Program Files\Adobe\ for the Captivate 13 folder CC / the installer creates.

Restricted networks: allow the URLs Adobe lists for Captivate features.

Classic voices: Adobe’s VIP page still points at ReadSpeaker voice packs for Classic TTS. That is not the 13.2 installer.

Windows may warn you. Check the publisher.

• Publisher should read Adobe.
• SmartScreen can appear on a new Captivate setup. Use More info only if the signature is Adobe.
• Do not turn off Defender to “activate.”
• Do not replace licensing DLLs.

Help / About should show 13.2 for the new app.

HTML5 output needs a current browser (Adobe lists Edge / Chrome 140+, Firefox 143+ on Windows for preview).

Trial and subscription

New Captivate is sold as Adobe’s Captivate / eLearning subscription or VIP — not a CS6 box. Trial from Adobe’s Captivate pages. Cancel in account.adobe.com if you only wanted the trial.

A $20 “Captivate 2026 lifetime” key is not Adobe.

Will it run on this PC?

Captivate 13 official Windows floor: 64-bit only, multicore Intel/AMD 2 GHz+, Windows 11 24H2 or Windows 10 22H2 or later, 16 GB RAM (32 GB recommended), 10 GB disk (not on a USB stick), 1920×1080 at 100% UI scale. Broadband required to activate.

Classic / 11.5.5 have their own requirements pages. Do not assume 13.2 specs for those years.

Already installed? Use Adobe’s 13.2 installer / in-app update. You do not hunt a second “2026 full.”

Install Adobe Captivate, first course, and sign-in

First run

1. Open Adobe Captivate 13.2.
2. Sign in with the same Adobe ID.
3. New responsive project or import PowerPoint if you are on 13.0+.
4. Preview in a current browser.
5. Confirm version 13.2.

Uninstall: Settings → Apps or the installer. Close Captivate first.

If it did not work

• 13.2 missing in CC — Captivate was never on this plan.
• Classic CPTX will not open — use Classic 11.8.3 or 13.1+ import.
• 11.5 serial rejected in 13.2 — different product.
• Installer is 40 MB named Captivate_Unlocked — leave.

Why L&D teams still install Captivate

• Responsive courses without a code team
• 13.x AI / avatar / PPT import on the new engine
• Classic still there for old CPTX

Pick one engine per course. Do not mix cracked 11.5 with 13.2.

Questions before you trust the installer

Is this the official file?
Yes if it came from adobe.com / helpx and the publisher is Adobe.

Is Captivate free?
No. The trial is time-limited.

13.2 vs Classic?
13.2 is the new app. Classic is the old CPTX app.

Do I need 13.2?
For new work, yes. Keep Classic only for files 13.x will not treat well.

Safe?
Official Adobe installer. The usual risk is fake “Captivate 2026 full” sites.

Install 13.2 from Adobe. Sign in. Add Classic only if the CPTX archive requires it.
