Adobe Muse is end of service. Feature work stopped 26 March 2018. Technical support ended 26 March 2020. Adobe’s own FAQ pointed All Apps subscribers at Older Apps — that is not a 2026 product and it often will not activate on a current Creative Cloud. “Muse 2026 full” is not a new website builder. Use Adobe Portfolio, a real code editor, or another host. Do not use XD as if it replaced Muse; XD is maintenance-mode too.

Muse was the drag-and-drop site builder. As of 1 September 2026 you should not start a client site in it. Business Catalyst / Muse hosting paths are long gone. If Creative Cloud still lists Muse CC under Older Apps, that is leftover access, not support.

If you searched for “Muse 2026 full,” “CC 2018 portable,” or “activated”

There is no extra unlocked setup and no 2026 SKU.

• Prefer download the live site over FTP and edit HTML/CSS
• If All Apps still shows Muse CC, that is the only Adobe path
• Do not rename AdobeIPCBroker.exe — those forum “fixes” are not Adobe

A “Muse 2018 pre-activated” folder plus an amtlib patch is stolen licensing. Grey-market keys will not restore Business Catalyst.

Your Adobe Muse download may not start at all

Adobe.com does not sell Muse. Community threads in 2025–2026 disagree on whether Older Apps still offers it; activation on new Windows 11 + current CC often fails.

What to do next (almost everyone)

1. Pull the published site with an FTP client (FileZilla is what Adobe community experts still name).
2. Edit HTML / CSS / JS in a code editor.
3. Or rebuild in Adobe Portfolio if it is a personal showcase, or in the CMS you actually ship.
4. Do not plan new Muse widgets, In-Browser Editing, or BC forms.

What to do next (All Apps, you still need the .muse file)

1. Open Creative Cloud Desktop.
2. Profile → Preferences → Apps → Show Older Apps.
3. Look for Muse CC.
4. If it installs and signs in, export immediately.
5. If it will not activate, stop. Use the FTP copy of the live site.

Do not take a 1 GB “Muse ISO” from a forum.

Windows may warn you. Check the publisher.

• Publisher should read Adobe if CC actually delivers Muse CC.
• Any “Muse 2026” EXE from a file host — cancel.
• Do not turn off Defender to “fix IPC broker.”
• Do not install old Flash / BC helpers next to it.

Muse will not get a Windows 11 security train.

Trial and subscription

You cannot buy Muse. A current All Apps seat was the only post-2020 path Adobe documented. Single-app Muse is dead.

A $10 “Muse lifetime 2026” key is not Adobe.

Will it run on this PC?

Only if CC still offers Muse and the 2018-era binary still launches on this Windows 11. Many machines fail after a CC desktop update. Do not buy hardware for Muse.

Already installed? Export every site to HTML. Copy assets off the machine. Assume the next CC update is the one that breaks the sign-in.

Last export from Adobe Muse (if it still opens)

1. Open the .muse file.
2. File → export as HTML to a folder you control.
3. Also FTP the live server.
4. Screenshot widget / form settings you cannot rebuild.
5. Uninstall Muse when the static files are safe.

If Muse will not install

• Not in Older Apps — expected.
• Installs but will not activate — expected on current CC.
• 40 MB Muse_Unlocked — leave.

Muse is the dead visual builder. Dreamweaver is the current-ish code app.
