ANSYS Products download (Mechanical, Fluent, HFSS, Workbench, Discovery, …) ships from the Ansys Customer Portal. Current flagship Windows line is 2026 R1. Official download: download.ansys.com / ansys.com/customercommunity. Media is multi-GB to tens of GB. Licence is Ansys License Manager + entitlement — not a “2026 R2 unlocked ISO.” Windows Home is not supported. Install 2025 R2 then 2026 R1 if you keep two releases; the other way around breaks licensing. Student builds are a separate Ansys programme.

Official download from the Ansys Customer Portal. Use a corporate email. First, go to Current Release → Windows x64. Next, pick Primary Packages, or the small wizard that pulls the rest. Then, install License Manager first. Finally, install the products your entitlement lists.

If you searched for “Ansys 2025 R2 full,” “2026 portable,” or “license file generator”

First of all, there is no extra unlocked setup.

• First, create / sign in at the Customer Portal (work email)
• Next, go to Downloads → Current Release → Windows x64
• Then, get the License Manager package
• After that, get the product zip / ISO / wizard
• Next, install manager → import the real license file
• Finally, install products in release order

However, a “2026 R1 pre-activated” folder plus a patched ansyscl.exe is stolen licensing. In addition, grey-market keys are often recycled university seats.

In addition, electronics / nCode / add-ons: extra tiles on the same portal — not inside every ISO.

Your download should start on download.ansys.com

For example, if the EXE is 400 MB named ANSYS_Workbench_2026, leave. Primary zips can be ~15 GB; full ISO sets ~50 GB.

What to do next

Trial and licence

First, commercial / academic entitlements from Ansys or a partner. Student product is capped and separate.

However, a $40 “Ansys 2026 lifetime” key is not Ansys.

Will it run on this PC?

According to the 2026 R1 Windows requirements: Windows 11 Pro / Enterprise / Education (23H2–25H2 class), Windows Server 2022 / 2025 Standard. Not Home. Not Windows 10 on the 2026 R1 platform plan. x64 Intel/AMD. 8 GB RAM to install / 16–32 GB recommended; full product set can want 200 GB disk. Certified GPU for solvers / Discovery. .NET / VC++ as the installer requests. Therefore, Home PCs fail support.

Already installed? First, go to Portal → 2026 R1 after 2025 R2. In other words, don’t install an older release on top.

Install, first Workbench, and the licence

First run

1. First, confirm License Manager is up.
2. Next, open Workbench 2026 R1.
3. Then, create a new Mechanical / Fluent system — small mesh.
4. After that, check Help → About = 2026 R1.
5. Finally, save projects outside Program Files.

Finally, uninstall: Ansys Uninstall / Settings → Apps. Uninstall newest first if you must roll back.

If it did not work

• No license — first, manager / feature not entitled.
• Windows Home — next, unsupported.
• Finally, 200 MB ANSYS_Unlocked — leave.

Why firms still install official Ansys

• Mechanical + CFD + electronics on one portal
• 2026 R1 current
• License Manager + certified OS list

However, it will not replace a CAD seat by itself.

Questions before you trust the installer

Is this the official file? In short, yes if it came from download.ansys.com / Customer Portal and the publisher is ANSYS.

Is Ansys free? In short, student edition is a separate, limited product. Commercial is paid.

2026 R1 vs 2025 R2? In short, R1 is current. Keep R2 if the project file requires it — install order matters.

Safe? First, use official Ansys media. However, forum “Ansys 2026 full” files are the risk.

After you have the file

First, start the ANSYS Products download: install License Manager, then 2026 R1 products from the Customer Portal. Next, use a real entitlement. Finally, don’t put 2025 R2 on after 2026 R1.
