Autodesk Inventor Professional is Autodesk’s mechanical CAD app. Current year on Windows is Inventor 2027. “Inventor Professional full” means the subscription (or Product Design Collection) – not a cracked ISO. It is Windows-only.

Work PCs: your admin assigns the seat or a deployment. You still install from Autodesk.

If you searched for “Inventor Professional 2027 full” or “activated”

There is no extra unlocked setup.

• Sign in with the Autodesk ID that owns Inventor Professional or the collection
• Click Install
• Sign in again when Inventor opens

A “permanent 2027” pack plus a FlexLM patch is stolen licensing. Autodesk products check the account. Grey-market keys are often recycled seats.

A current subscription can be installed on up to three computers. Only the named user may run it on one machine at a time. Autodesk’s public FAQ also lets subscribers install three previous years listed on the account — that is the legal way to keep 2026 next to 2027 for old assemblies.

Your download should start on Autodesk’s site

If nothing saves, you opened Fusion or AutoCAD Mechanical by mistake.

What to do next

1. Sign in at manage.autodesk.com.
2. Open All products and services.
3. Choose Inventor / Inventor Professional.
4. Pick 2027, then Install (web) or Download / Direct download (large offline set — often more than one part).
5. Run the Autodesk installer. Stay online until Inventor can sign in.

Typical folder: C:\Users\You\Downloads.
App path: C:\Program Files\Autodesk\Inventor 2027.

Language packs for 2023+ live on the same account under View details → Languages. Custom deployments are an admin job. Do not take a 15 GB “full ISO” from a forum thread.

Windows may warn you. Check the publisher.

• Publisher should read Autodesk.
• SmartScreen can appear on a new Autodesk setup. Use More info only if the signature is Autodesk.
• Do not turn off Defender to “activate.”
• Do not replace licensing DLLs.

Help → About should show Inventor 2027. Use Autodesk Access or the account portal for later 2027.x patches.

After a trial expires, Inventor Read-only Mode can still open files if you installed from the official Professional installer. That is Autodesk’s viewer path — not a crack.

Vault and Inventor interoperability components install from the same Autodesk account when the collection includes them.

Trial and subscription

Desktop Inventor Professional is a subscription (or Flex tokens). A 30-day trial is the official look. Convert the trial with the same Autodesk ID. Cancel in the account if you only wanted the trial.

Education seats follow Autodesk Education rules. A $50 “2027 lifetime Professional” key is not Autodesk.

Will it run on this PC?

Inventor 2027 official floor: 64-bit Windows 11. Autodesk’s 2027 requirements page does not list Windows 10. Stay on Inventor 2026 if you cannot leave Windows 10.

Inventor 2027 defaults to DX12 when the card allows it; you can fall back to DX11 in Application Options → Hardware. Use Inventor certified hardware drivers.

Already installed? Use manage.autodesk.com or Autodesk Access. You do not download a second “full 2027.”

Install, first run, and sign-in

First run

1. Open Inventor Professional 2027.
2. Sign in with the same Autodesk ID.
3. Open a small IPT — not the 2,000-part factory on day one.
4. Check Help → About.
5. Point at the office project / Vault only after the licence is green.

Uninstall: Settings → Apps, or Autodesk Uninstall. Close files first.

If it did not work

• Product missing on the account — this ID never had Inventor Professional.
• License error — seat used on too many machines, or a fake key.
• Installer is 90 MB named Full_Activated — leave.
• Windows 10 + 2027 — unsupported. Use 2026 or move the PC to Windows 11.
• Only Read-only Mode — trial ended; buy or use the work seat.

Questions before you trust the installer

Is this the official file?
Yes if it came from manage.autodesk.com and the publisher is Autodesk.

Is Inventor Professional free?
No. Education has its own rules. The trial is 30 days; Read-only Mode can remain.

Inventor vs Fusion?
Inventor is the desktop parametric seat. Fusion is a different Autodesk product and licence.

Do I need 2027?
Only if the office standard and add-ins say so. A subscription still lets you install 2026 for old assemblies.

Safe?
Official account installer. The usual risk is fake “Professional full” sites.

After you have the file

Install from Autodesk. Sign in. Let Access apply updates. Pay or use the work/education seat.
