Windows Live Messenger

Windows Live Messenger is a real-time instant messaging client developed by Microsoft. It lets you connect with family and friends online. It was previously known as MSN Messenger as Microsoft moved to Live online community. It has been very popular instant messaging application for years and a substitute to Yahoo Messenger.

It is not limited to chat conversation only. You can have video chats. A webcam is required to establish a video conversation. It also lets you voice calls. You shall need a fast Internet connection with more bandwidth to have video calls. However, voice calls require a normal bandwidth and text chats can be continued even on poor internet connections.

Windows Live Messenger lets you view and share photos right in chat window. Unlike other IM clients, you don’t have to send files and download to view them in this messenger.

User interface is neat and easy to use. It has improved interface and color in late releases. You can customize it with your desired color schemes and themes.

Make your conversation more descriptive with numerous winks and emoticons. These can be expanded by adding new sets available on the internet.

MSN/Windows Live Messenger is discontinued. Microsoft has decided to replace Live Messenger with Skype. You can download this messenger to have a look of this app and its features. However, we recommend to use it just for test purpose, not as a regular instant messaging application.
