Free scanning lets you find and preview recoverable files; saving files may require a paid plan. However, “Recoverit Pro unlocked” is not an official Wondershare edition. In addition, install it on a healthy drive — never on the disk you are trying to recover.

If you searched for an older version, a portable edition, or an activated download

There is no need to download an unofficial unlocked setup.

• First, download from recoverit.wondershare.com.
• Next, install on C: (or any disk that is not the lost volume).
• Then, scan.
• After that, restore to a different drive.
• Finally, sign in with the Wondershare ID that bought the plan.

An unofficial pre-activated folder plus a patch may involve unauthorised licensing or malware. Grey-market keys can be unreliable or associated with recycled accounts.

Do not write recovered files back onto the same partition. That overwrites the data you came for.

Trial and licence

You can scan free. Saving a lot of data needs a monthly / yearly / perpetual plan, depending on the available options. Perpetual = the major version covered by the licence. Cancel in the Wondershare account if you only wanted a look.

An unusually cheap “Recoverit lifetime” key from an unofficial seller may not be a legitimate Wondershare licence.

Will it run on this PC?

System requirements vary by release. Check Wondershare’s official technical specifications for supported Windows versions, memory requirements, storage needs and supported file systems. For demanding scans, use a reasonably capable Windows PC with sufficient RAM and a second disk for recovered files. SSD / TRIM / BitLocker can affect what you can get back.

Already installed? Use the in-app updater or official website to check for updates. You do not need a separate “Pro full” download.

Install, first scan, and restore

First run

1. Stop using the lost disk.
2. Open Recoverit.
3. Select that disk. Scan.
4. Preview photos/docs.
5. Restore to D: or a USB — not back onto the affected drive.

Uninstall: Settings → Apps.

• 0 files — the disk may have been reused too long, or the hardware may have failed.
• Preview works, save blocked — a paid plan may be required.
