Tor, a hunk in fox skin, uses Firefox with ultimate anonymity weapons. The most private tool in browsing arsenal which nobody would want you to discover, ever!

Tor Browser 15.0.26

Tor Browser is a privacy-focused web browser developed by the Tor Project. It is based on Firefox and is configured to route web traffic through the Tor network, which is designed to make it harder for websites, network observers, and other parties to link your browsing activity with your real IP address.

Tor Browser is one of the most privacy-focused browsers available for everyday web browsing. It does not try to compete with mainstream browsers by offering the same level of convenience, customization, or performance. Its primary goal is to improve privacy and anonymity while browsing the web.

Tor is also used by journalists, researchers, activists, privacy-conscious users, and people who need to access the internet while reducing network-level tracking. Using Tor is not inherently illegal. However, as with any browser or network, the legality of what you do online depends on your activities and local laws.

Tor Browser should not be confused with a conventional VPN. Tor Browser does not use a traditional built-in VPN service. Instead, it sends browser traffic through the Tor network using multiple relays. This design helps hide your IP address from websites and makes it more difficult for a single observer to see both where your connection originates and where it ultimately goes.

Tor does not provide perfect or universal anonymity. Your identity can still be exposed through account logins, personal information you voluntarily provide, browser fingerprinting mistakes, unsafe downloads, malicious websites, compromised devices, or other operational-security errors. Tor protects the traffic handled by Tor Browser; it does not magically anonymize every activity on your computer.

Tor Browser may feel slower than Firefox, Chrome, or Edge. This is largely a consequence of routing traffic through the Tor network and the privacy protections built into the browser. Some websites may also behave differently, require additional verification, or restrict access to Tor users.

Modern websites that rely heavily on scripts, media, advertising technology, or browser fingerprinting may not work exactly as they do in a mainstream browser. Tor Browser intentionally limits or changes certain browser capabilities to reduce tracking and fingerprinting.

For normal everyday browsing where maximum privacy is not the primary requirement, Firefox, Chrome, Edge, or another mainstream browser may feel faster and more convenient. Tor Browser is designed with a different priority: privacy and anonymity first.

Caution

Tor Browser is a legitimate privacy tool, but it is important to understand its limitations. Do not assume that Tor makes you completely anonymous or immune to tracking. Avoid signing into personal accounts when anonymity is important, do not install random extensions, and do not open downloaded documents outside Tor Browser without understanding the privacy risks.

You also do not need to hide the fact that you use Tor. Using Tor is not proof of hacking or illegal activity. It is a privacy technology used for many legitimate purposes. If privacy is important to you, learn how Tor works and follow the Tor Project’s recommended safety practices instead of relying on the browser alone.
